GETTING TO KNOW SARAH PALIN
Sarah Palin is running as a reformer who, like John McCain, is against wasteful earmarks. The only problem? She's got almost no record of actually doing what she's saying.
As has already been touched on, Palin is still openly lying about her "Thanks but no thanks" attitude towards the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere".
In fact, in 2001 and 2002 John McCain actually criticized earmarks secured by Palin for Wasilla, Alaska.

In 2001, McCain's list of spending that had been approved without the normal budget scrutiny included a $500,000 earmark for a public transportation project in Wasilla. The Arizona senator targeted $1 million in a 2002 spending bill for an emergency communications center in town -- one that local law enforcement has said is redundant and creates confusion.Hmmm, mixed messages? And just in case you're not completely convinced that Palin took part in the earmarks for her town. Here's this released "official memorandum" from Palin's Office, where she circles the 2.5 million federal dollars her town received and writes:
FYI This does not include our nearly one million Dollars from the Feds for our Airport Paving Project. We did well!!!And before you ask... yes she did use THREE exclamation marks to accentuate her approval of earmarks. Seems like someone might be a government teet sucker in reformer's clothing?
