HERE'S WHAT JOHN McCAIN THINKS OF AMERICAN WORKERS

From a speech in 2006, John McCain belittles the work ethic of Americans at an AFL-CIO gathering. Is this guy for real?

Does he really think ordinary, hard-working Americans wouldn't work in the lettuce fields for fifty bucks an hour? That's roughly $100,000 a year John. I know that doesn't mean much to people who married into astronomical wealth, but that's a LOT of money to millions of Americans. Heck, the median HOUSEHOLD income in 2006 was just $48,201.00. Does McCain really think it's the hard work in the agriculture business that's keeping American citizens away? Give me a break. An easier explanation is the roughly $6/$8 dollars an hour these physically demanding jobs pay.

There's no doubt this clown almost got booed off the stage for this kind of condescending crap. I'd love to know if anyone actually took McCain up on the $50/an hour promise. My guess is that tons of displaced workers in 2008 would take him up on it.

Poppie would see right through this guy. I remember riding in a car with him way back in 1984 and hearing him say he was considering voting for Jesse Jackson; he knew bullshit when he saw it, no matter who it came from. If only he was alive today to call this out-of-touch silver-spoon insider on his avalanche of let-them-eat-cake Republican crap. Ryan
