Vivian Kubrick: The Making of "The Shining"
Who would be allowed to film behind-the-scenes footage on one of Stanley Kubrick's greatest movies? How about Stan's then 17 year-old daughter Vivian. Very interesting.

Wow.
JUST NOW came from the mailbox where I collected the LATEST version of "The Kubrick Collection" on DVD, and now this. I always seem to check your blog at the most opportune times.
For anyone who has not seen Viv's doc, do yourself a favor and take it all in. Jack's prep work alone will hook you.
And, Russ, on the new version of these DVDs, Vivian provides commentary on what you've posted here. Surely more will be said about Stanley's threat to play "mood music" for ol' pain-in-the-butt Shelly (who, we must admit, gave the performance of her LIFE in "The Shining").
