RIGHT-WINGER ATTACKS CINDY SHEEHAN
Chris Vucovich is a typical right-wing war lover. He's enamored of George W. Bush. He believes in the Iraq War. And he thinks we should stay "until the job is done" - whatever that means.
On this day he decides to take his tiny brain to Washington in order to "debate" anti-war activist Cindy Sheehan. (Note: See how he handles the question about the Iraqi people (and government) wanting the US to leave. Brilliant!)
However, things take an even worse turn when he comes face-to-face with anti-war Vietnam Veterans. First, he challenges a war veteran to refuse any government assistance, presumably because he chooses to disagree with the current President's policy. And then he goes into a complete tailspin once he's asked to serve in the very war he supports.
He starts by claiming that he's 31 years-old, and therefore "the Army doesn't want him." However NOTHING could be further from the truth. In fact, the US Army has INCREASED its enlistment age first from 35 to 40 (in 2005), then from 40 to 42 (in 2006).
Then he claims that they want him to "make money so that they can pay for it". I must've missed that in Dubya's State of the Union speech this year. In fact, haven't we been getting tax cuts throughout this whole mess?
Then he claims, "If they said today that they needed men, I'd go." Is this guy really serious? Why would the Army raise the enlistment age, or loosen fitness standards, or consider recruits with criminal records unless we needed men?
You know, it's one thing to be a loud-mouthed, idiot chickenhawk... but you could at least be honest in your cowardice.
THANKS TO CROOKS AND LIARS
