TRAILER FOR "GYMKATA"
After the 1984 Olympics, gymnastics was a big deal in the United States. Hollywood tried everything to create projects around the likes of Mary Lou Retton, Mitch Gaylord, Bart Conner, and Kurt Thomas. In Thomas' case, someone noticed a similarity between gymnastic movements and martial arts... and "Gymkata" was born.
The only problem was fitting traditional gymnastics equipment within the flimsy storyline. With this in mind, you've never seen so many conveniently placed pommel horses and parallel bars in your life. In the end, even the upbeat voice of Don LaFontaine couldn't save this turd.

That is the most magnificently ridiculous thing I have ever seen. Now I wish they would make "IceSkata", starring Scott Hamilton.
