From Conan O'Brien & Robert Smigel
My good friend Jared C. (not sure if he wishes to remain anonymous) sent me a link to this never-picked-up pilot starring Adam West. It was written/created in 1991 by a young Conan O'Brien and Robert Smigel, and never saw the light of day.

Adam West? I guess Whitman Mayo was unavailable.
Here's a funny bit of Whitman Mayo/Conan O'Brien trivia from IMDB:
Although he had not disappeared, nor was he hiding, when in 1996 the "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" show wished to use him in a sketch and were unable to locate him or his agent, the show launched a three-week nationwide "Where's Grady" search. The search's hotline received over 50,000 calls of sightings. Mayo eventually did surface and gladly appeared on the show.
Sat through the whole damn thing. So don't have the time. Pure gold from the Golden Hills of Golden Hills (Adam) West. He's AWESOME.
I could EASILY take on another ep of "Lookwell". It's not so much a laugh riot as it is a transfixing anamoly of television, cheese, utter madness... and Smigel-O'Brien-knows-what.
How about a network that ONLY shows these spectacular failures 24-7? Is it out there? Is TRIO it?
Regarding Whitman Mayo: I dare you to name another actor whose body of work includes so many cool character names. His roles: Jeeter, Lick, Jethro, Crooks, Dink, Howlin' Joe, Swifty, Sweets, and my favorite... One Ball. (IMDB)
And, of course, Grady.
